What inspectors found
CQC: GoodReport published 1 November 2022 · Last inspected 13 September 2022
Inspectors found that people living at the home, which provides personal care to nine people, were supported safely by staff who knew how to recognise and report possible abuse and understood people's needs. Staffing levels were sufficient, staff had adequate training, and people could receive visitors and take part in regular social activities. The visit was a focused inspection of safety and leadership, and inspectors found that the improvements required after the previous inspection had been made.
- Staff knew how to safeguard people, and clear processes were in place for reporting concerns.
- Risks to people's safety, both from the environment and from individual needs, were well managed.
- The home was clean and well maintained, and outbreaks of infection were handled effectively.
- The manager promoted a person-centred approach, staff felt supported, and people were helped to make choices and keep control of their lives.
- The home was rated inadequate at its previous inspection in June 2022 and had been in special measures, so this result follows a significant period of improvement work.
- This inspection covered only the Safe and Well-led key questions, so other areas were not re-inspected and their earlier ratings were carried forward.
