What inspectors found
CQC: GoodReport published 10 January 2024 · Last inspected 6 December 2023
Inspectors found that a larger home for up to 50 people had staffing pressures on the first visit that delayed some care, which improved on the second visit when levels rose. Residents and relatives described feeling safe, staff understood safeguarding and risk management, and feedback about the care given was very positive. The management team was credited with responding quickly to the inspection's findings.
- Residents and relatives said they felt safe and were positive about the care provided
- Staff understood safeguarding responsibilities and how to support people with identified risks
- Complaints were well managed, and people felt encouraged to raise concerns with management
- Management responded promptly to inspection feedback and quality checks identified issues that were acted on
- Staffing levels were not always sufficient on the first visit, so some care needs were not met on time
- Dependency levels did not accurately reflect everyone's care needs, and a review was recommended
- Hot water temperature checks had lapsed since July 2023, and some bathing lifting equipment was faulty
