About
Lillyburn is a purpose-built care home on Birdston Road in Kirkintilloch, at the foot of the Campsie Hills in East Dunbartonshire. It provides 24-hour residential and nursing care for older people, including those with mild to moderate dementia, and supports people with physical disabilities. The home has 56 registered beds: 40 en-suite bedrooms grouped in suites of 10 around shared lounge, kitchen and dining areas, and Kintyre, a separate 16-bedroom dementia unit next door that offers nursing and personal care for people with Alzheimer's and stroke-related dementia.
Daily activities are offered throughout the week, supported by an Activity Team that includes an experienced SONAS-trained coordinator and local volunteers. The home works with local churches, schools and groups, including Alzheimer's Scotland and RNIB. The Care Inspectorate has graded the home Very good for how well people's wellbeing is supported, how well care is planned, its setting, its staff team and its leadership.
