The home has been open since 2010 and provides residential, dementia, nursing, learning disability and physical disability care across five wings, each named after a former mayor or lady mayor.
Each wing has a library or quiet room, and the home has a courtyard with raised flower beds and a pagoda. A passenger lift serves all floors, and a separate service lift is also available. Three meals a day are served from a seasonal four-week menu that can be adapted to individual dietary needs.
