Bloomfield Care Home is on Gower Road in Sketty, Swansea, and offers residential care, including for people living with dementia. The home has 40 registered beds. It was established in 1948 as a home for older women, run by a Christian charity under the name Bloomfield Eventide, and it is one of the longer-established residential homes in the city. A new management team has since reworked the home to suit the people who live there now.
The house dates from the 1800s and keeps features from its origins as a country house, while an extensive redesign has added a high level of personal comfort. Support is available whenever it is needed. Care Inspectorate Wales graded the home Excellent for well-being and for leadership and management, and Good for care and support and for environment.
