About
Barrogil House Care Home is a 40-bed home in Kirkcaldy, Fife, that cares only for people living with dementia. The building is on a single level, and its brightly coloured doors are intended to help residents move around more independently. Two lounges are available, one of which opens onto a wrap-around garden. The home also has a dedicated space for family celebrations.
Activities are tailored to residents' interests and abilities, through one-to-one or group sessions, monthly concerts, gospel visits and special events. Meals are freshly prepared each day from a four-week rotating menu that uses seasonal ingredients and offers options for different dietary needs, and the home grows its own fruit and vegetables. The Care Inspectorate graded how well people's wellbeing is supported and how care and support is planned as Adequate, and graded the setting, staff team and leadership as Good.
