About
Raith Manor is a purpose-built care home in Kirkcaldy, Fife, which opened in August 2015. It is run by Abbotsford Care and has 60 beds spread over three floors. The home supports adults living with dementia and people with physical impairments, and it includes an assessment unit run in partnership with Fife Council. Each floor has its own communal dining room, lounge and kitchenette, intended to encourage residents' independence. Every room has an en-suite, and residents are welcome to personalise their rooms.
The Care Inspectorate graded the home Good for how well people's wellbeing is supported, how well care and support is planned, its staff team and its leadership. It graded the setting Adequate. The home runs a programme of activities and events, holds exercise classes and has an on-site hair salon. Some of the staff transferred from other Abbotsford homes to join the team.
