The Grade II listed building has kept its original exterior, and inside it retains features such as fireplaces and stained glass windows. The main building has 12 en-suite rooms, each decorated differently to highlight Georgian details and adapted for residents receiving nursing care. The rooms are large, with big windows fitted with secondary glazing to help them stay warm. A newer extension adds further rooms. The village is served by local bus routes and is close to local amenities.
