Willowthorpe Care Home is a former private country house in Stanstead Abbotts, Hertfordshire, that has been renovated and extended to provide residential, dementia and respite care for people aged 65 and over. The home is set beside the River Lea and has 56 registered beds. Residents have access to a dedicated Engagement Team, which plans group and individual activities such as seasonal baking, live music, canal trips and visits from local children. Residents can also use The Hideaway, a countryside retreat with extensive grounds and an on-site Reminiscence Museum. The home uses PainChek, an AI-based tool that helps staff detect pain in residents who find it hard to express it.
