About
Westhampnett Nursing Home is a 32-bed nursing home in Chichester, West Sussex, on the edge of the historic city, at the foot of the South Downs. It occupies a Grade II listed Georgian building with later additions, set in about 3.5 acres of parkland with a listed dovecote, a pond, an apple orchard and gardens. Most rooms overlook the gardens, and accommodation ranges from single high-dependency rooms near the nurses' station to larger suites.
Meals are cooked on site each day by the Head Chef using local, seasonal produce. The home also specialises in wound care, working with GP surgeries, the Community Matron and a Tissue Viability team. The Care Quality Commission rated the home Good overall in its 2018 report. Its key-question ratings are Good for effective, caring, responsive and well-led care, and Requires Improvement for safe care.
