About
The Willows is a privately owned care home near the centre of Bedlington, a historic market town in south Northumberland. Registered for up to 27 residents, it provides residential and respite care, including for people living with dementia, Alzheimer's, mental health needs or complex health needs. Residents with dementia are not separated from others.
Age UK and the local charity Mind Active provide activities such as seated exercise, puzzles and quizzes. A hairdresser visits each Wednesday, and a traditional afternoon tea is served on Fridays. Meals are cooked on site by the home's own catering team, with dishes such as pies and freshly baked cakes. There are no restrictions on visiting during palliative care. The Care Quality Commission rated the home Good overall in its 2024 report.
