About

The Crest Care Home is a residential care home in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, with 31 registered beds. It occupies a large house that has been converted and extended, on Rutland Drive close to Harrogate town centre, and has a small garden at the side of the main building. The home recently joined a group and is being refurbished in a dementia-friendly way, with a dementia-friendly garden and a bar, named The Nag's Head, being added. Staff who support residents with dementia do not wear uniforms, and on night shifts they wear pyjamas and dressing gowns to help residents recognise night-time. Soothing music is often played around the home.

Meals offer a choice at every mealtime, and individually prepared, texture-modified meals are provided for residents with swallowing difficulties. Visitors are welcome at any time, including to share a meal with a relative.
