About
The Bughties is a 28-bed care home in Dundee providing care for people living with dementia. The building was a private house before the Second World War, and it later served as an NHS training and administration centre. It has since been renovated.
Residents can use a garden rest area and a larger garden where fruit and vegetables are grown. A weekly activities programme includes animal therapy and music and movement, and the home links with local nurseries and churches so residents can take part in events across Broughty Ferry. Care plans are individualised with residents and families. The Care Inspectorate graded how well people's wellbeing is supported as Good, how well care and support is planned as Adequate, and the setting, staff team and leadership as Good.
