St. Raphael's Care Home is a 63-bedroom home in Edinburgh providing nursing care and support for people living with dementia. Residents live across four units: Rutland, with 20 residents, Waverley with 17, Holyrood with 14 and Cunningham House with 12. All rooms are single occupancy with ensuite wet floor showers, and residents may bring small items of furniture and their own television to personalise them. A dedicated dementia unit on the first floor has 14 rooms decorated in bright colours. The gardens are dementia friendly, and a weekly activities programme includes a Craft Café run with Impact Arts, a singing group and minibus outings.
The Care Inspectorate graded how well people's wellbeing is supported and how care is planned as Very good. It graded the setting, staff team and leadership as Good.
