About

Shenstone House is a dementia care home in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, with 25 registered beds. It was set up for people who can no longer live in their own homes, or no longer wish to, because of memory loss linked to dementia. With advice from a dementia care specialist, the building's facilities have been adapted to create a safe and secure setting. Staff receive training in dementia care, and the daily programme of events and activities is planned around residents' needs. Residents' requests are recorded in their care plans and used to shape activities. The home places no restrictions or formalities on visiting. Staff are recruited after screening, with DBS and SOVA checks and thorough reference checks.

The Care Quality Commission rates Shenstone House Good overall, and Good for being safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
