About
Riverside Court is a family-run home with 25 registered beds in a market town in rural North Yorkshire, on the banks of the River Ure. Established in 1989, it provides residential care, dementia care and respite stays. Care is tailored to each resident, and the home works with local GPs, social services and the Memory Clinic. An onsite activities coordinator runs games that stimulate both mind and body, and minibus trips take residents into the Yorkshire Dales.
Bedrooms have been recently renovated and include en-suite facilities and views over the river. Residents may bring their own belongings, and the private gardens are enjoyed throughout the year. The Care Quality Commission rates the home Requires Improvement overall (report published 2025). It grades effective, caring and responsive care as Good, and safe care and well-led management as Requires Improvement.
