About
Pottersway House Care Home, operated by Care Concern Group, has 60 registered beds and provides residential, nursing, respite and dementia care. Support is available around the clock, and the home has purpose-built facilities. Each resident has an individual care plan covering their care needs, lifestyle and preferences. Nursing care follows a key-nurse model, so every resident has a named nurse who becomes familiar with them and their needs. Dementia care aims to help residents keep taking part in daily activities for as long as they are able.
The home runs an activities programme, arranges outings to link residents with the local community, and encourages them to make their own choices about daily life. Respite stays can be arranged in advance or at short notice in an emergency, and can last from a couple of weeks to many months. A pre-admission assessment is carried out first. The home is in Stoke-on-Trent.
