What inspectors found
CQC: GoodReport published 17 July 2023 · Last inspected 29 June 2023
Inspectors found a warm, positive atmosphere at this residential home for up to 20 people, where staff and the registered manager and provider were well regarded. Care was personalised, and people were supported to make their own choices. However, building work since 2022 has meant parts of the home are inaccessible and the number of people supported has been reduced, and some people and visitors found the work noisy and disruptive.
- Systems to protect people from abuse and improper treatment were in place, and people said they felt safe.
- Medicines were managed safely, and infection prevention and control processes protected people.
- Staff described the home as a good place to work, and people spoke highly of the leadership team.
- Care was tailored to individual needs, with kind and compassionate staff, and people were supported in the least restrictive way possible.
- Night-time staffing levels were not always sufficient to keep people safe.
- Risks associated with mealtimes were not well managed.
- Some people and visitors felt the provider had not fully considered their comfort during the building work.
