About
Peacehaven is a care home in Leven, Fife, registered for 40 beds and providing residential and dementia care. The building began as a dwelling house in 1900 and was later used as a hotel before the Seventh-Day Adventist church bought it in the mid-1960s and opened it as a residential home. It has operated as a care home ever since, and it has been extended twice, with a nine-bedroom wing added around 1998 and a four-bedroom single-storey wing around 2003.
Since Rosturk House Ltd bought the home in early 2008, the building has been refurbished throughout. The kitchen and the dining room and lounge have been relocated, and the former kitchen now provides two additional bedrooms. All bedrooms have been modernised, and many have en-suite shower rooms. The Care Inspectorate, which regulates the home in Scotland, has graded its wellbeing support and care planning as Very good, its staff team and leadership as Very good, and its setting as Good.
