Oversteps is a care home on the outskirts of the Royal Burgh of Dornoch, set in its own grounds and surrounded by gardens and woodland, with the town's amenities within walking distance. It offers residential, dementia and respite care for up to 24 residents, all in single ensuite rooms, some on the first floor reached by stairs or lift. Residents can bring personal belongings, decorate their rooms, and use the TV lounge, dining area and large sitting room, which overlooks the garden and woodland. The home encourages residents to live as independently as possible and has links with local churches and both Dornoch Primary and Dornoch Academy, whose pupils visit regularly.
