What inspectors found

CQC: Good

Report published 21 February 2023 · Last inspected 12 January 2023

Inspectors found that people and their relatives felt the home was safe, with enough staff and staffing levels adjusted to occupancy and individual needs. Staff were described as having the skills, time and support to meet people's needs, and people were involved in planning their care where possible. People and staff spoke positively about the management team.

Strengths noted
  • Staffing was adjusted to match how many people lived in the home and their needs.
  • Staff understood individual risks, and accidents, incidents and medicine errors were reviewed to help prevent repeats.
  • Infection control procedures were in place, and protective equipment was used in line with government guidance.
  • Activities were available, including group activities, outings and ad hoc sessions, and like-minded people were placed near each other.
Areas to improve
  • Care records needed improvement. A new electronic care planning system was being introduced, and staff were still being supported to use it for daily care notes.
