Inspectors found the registered manager and provider had put new monitoring systems in place, and that these had brought improvements, though more time is needed before they produce consistently good outcomes. Care records were not always up to date, and the management team was working on this. Staff were recruiting to strengthen a person-centred culture, with consistent agency staff covering in the meantime.

  • Specific healthcare needs were clearly documented
  • Improvements were made to how people's prescribed medicines were managed
  • Staff supported people in the least restrictive way and understood the support needed for people under Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
Areas to improve
  • Care records were not always current or reflective of people's needs
  • People did not always receive care that promoted their wellbeing and was tailored to them
  • People did not always benefit from engaging and stimulating activities suited to their needs
