About

Melrose Care Home is a nursing home in Worthing, West Sussex, with 26 registered beds. It was renovated in 2025 with the help of a local interior decorator, with the aim of creating bedrooms that are light, airy and comfortable. Residents can personalise their rooms fully and are encouraged to bring their own furniture, soft furnishings and ornaments.

The home has a large activities room in the conservatory, where residents can take part in puzzles, cards and computer use through the day, and come and go as they choose. A separate large living room is used for socialising, relaxing and watching television. All meals are home cooked, and residents may choose an alternative to the menu. The home also supports residents to work towards personal goals, drawing on the local community, and holds regular celebrations that include relatives and friends. The Care Quality Commission rated the home Outstanding overall, with Caring, Responsive and Well-led rated Outstanding and Safe and Effective rated Good; this report was published in 2019.
