What inspectors found

CQC: Good

Report published 28 July 2023 · Last inspected 4 July 2023

Inspectors found that people were treated warmly and their privacy and dignity respected, and the home had an easygoing, tranquil and welcoming atmosphere. People were supported to make their own choices, and their feedback about the care they received was consistently positive. Lower use of agency staff meant people were looked after by staff who knew them and their preferences well.

Strengths noted
  • Staff were described as kind and respectful, and the home felt calm and friendly.
  • Medicines were handled safely, and people received them as prescribed.
  • The reduced use of agency staff meant people were supported by familiar staff who understood their needs.
  • Cleanliness in the communal areas and across the home had improved since the last inspection.
Areas to improve
  • Care records did not always clearly show the care people received, and inspectors recommended that records be kept up to date at the time care is given.
