About
Locharwoods Care Home is a large period house on a quiet crescent in Formby, modernised inside while keeping its original exterior. It has 18 individual rooms on the ground and first floors. There is a dining room, a lounge and a conservatory, with mature gardens around the building. Meals are cooked on site and adapted to residents' diets, and a hairdresser and chiropodist visit regularly.
The home encourages an independent lifestyle, with round-the-clock attention available if needed. Activities take place daily, one to one or in groups, and visiting is open. The Care Quality Commission rated the home Good in its 2019 report, with each key question also graded Good.
