It provides residential, dementia and nursing care, with qualified staff on duty day and night. Each resident has personal space, and an in-house chef prepares seasonal menus. The home works with local health partners, Age Concern and the Alzheimer's Society. What inspectors found

CQC: Good

Report published 4 July 2022 · Last inspected 25 May 2022

Inspectors found that people and their relatives regarded staff as warm and compassionate, and that people felt safe at this care home for up to 16 people, some of whom were living with dementia. Enough staff were available to meet people's needs, staff understood the risks in people's care, and the report describes a positive atmosphere in which people, relatives and staff spoke well of the registered manager. Activities included both group and one-to-one sessions, and staff considered the risk of social isolation through regular welfare checks.

Strengths noted
  • Medicines were stored and given safely.
  • Care records were tailored to each person and included risk assessments with guidance for staff.
  • Staff received regular training and supervision, and were supported in their progression.
  • Fire safety and premises checks were carried out, and individual evacuation plans were in place for people.
