What inspectors found
CQC: Requires improvementReport published 9 March 2023 · Last inspected 1 February 2023
Inspectors found that people at this 20-bed residential and nursing home were generally happy, and described staff as kind, with choices in their day. Staff were said to understand safeguarding and to support people with medicines, meals and health needs, and the home was clean and well run in many respects. However, the report found that people were not always supported in the least restrictive way, and that policies and systems did not consistently support best-interests and mental capacity practice.
- People said staff were kind and that they could choose how to spend their day
- Staff received regular training and supervision and understood how to keep people safe
- The home was clean and tidy, with infection control systems in place
- The provider regularly checked quality through audits and sought feedback from people, relatives and staff
- Mental capacity and best-interests decisions, and people's choice and control, needed to improve
- Lunchtime meal delivery needed improvement, which the registered manager said would be addressed
- Some people's records needed improvement
