What inspectors found
CQC: GoodReport published 1 August 2019 · Last inspected 3 June 2019
Inspectors found that people using this short-term reablement and personal care service, which supports people leaving hospital in the Alton, Bordon and Aldershot areas, received good everyday care. People and relatives told inspectors they were happy with the support and had built positive relationships with care staff. Staff were described as treating people with dignity and respect and protecting their privacy.
- Medicines were managed safely, in line with good practice, where people needed help with them.
- Personalised risk assessments, covering both personal and environmental risks, gave staff clear guidance to reduce risks.
- Care records focused on people's strengths and independence, and people were supported to review their progress regularly.
- Staff understood how to keep people safe and how to raise concerns, and the service had clear safeguarding systems, with a clear management structure in which staff felt supported and valued.
- Oversight of staff training was not always effective, so not all staff completed their training within the provider's own timescales. The report says that immediate action was taken after this was raised.
