Inspectors visited Church Rose in November 2023 and rated it Requires Improvement, down from Good at its previous inspection. Day-to-day support was described as stable and respectful, with risks managed, medicines well handled, and maintenance dealt with promptly. - Staff knew people well, and a stable team was described as kind and caring
- Support encouraged independence, and people were helped to keep in touch with family and pursue hobbies
- The purpose-built building has a safe outdoor space, and repairs were carried out promptly
- People were not consistently supported to have maximum choice and control, and some practices did not reflect least restrictive care
- Several infection control lapses were seen during the inspection, though the management team addressed them on the day
- Some quality monitoring had missed issues, and actions were sometimes slow to complete, including a relative's concerns that took a long time to address
