Medicines were given on time, infection prevention procedures were followed, and incidents were reviewed with lessons shared with staff. Staffing was not always enough to consistently support people, and people, staff and relatives spoke positively about recent improvements and how the home is run.

Areas to improve
  • Some risk assessments and care plans lacked detail about how people should be supported.
  • People were not consistently supported by enough staff, and the report makes a recommendation about staffing levels.
  • Governance arrangements were not consistently effective, and audits that were driving changes were not yet fully embedded.
