About
Callands Care Home in Warrington, Cheshire, has 120 registered beds and provides nursing care. The team learns about each resident's interests, hobbies and personality, and arranges activities so people can spend their time in ways they enjoy.
A new games room, The Corner Gaming HQ, has opened for residents of the home's Lakeside community, with equipment and space to play, sit with friends or watch others. It grew from a staff idea and a skydive fundraiser by colleague Kyle Ward, who raised more than £700 for the project.
The Care Quality Commission rates the home Requires Improvement overall, in a report published in 2026. It rates effective, caring and responsive care as Good, and safe care and well-led as Requires Improvement.
