About
Bridgemead is a Christian residential care home with 32 beds in central Bath, providing residential, nursing and dementia care. A registered nurse is on duty at all times, and rooms are spread across four floors, with eight on each floor and en-suite facilities on three of them. Each floor has a communal dining and living room with a kitchenette. Bedrooms have no television or telephone.
Dementia care follows the "Feelings Matter Most" framework. Each resident has a dedicated key worker, and relatives are invited to take part in decisions. Daily life includes a quiet time at 11.45am, a Sunday service at 3.30pm led by volunteers, and afternoon activities such as quizzes, crafts and singing. The Care Quality Commission rates the home Requires Improvement overall. Its Safe and Well-led areas are also rated Requires Improvement, while Effective, Caring and Responsive are rated Good.
