About
Blythe Rose Care Home is a specialist dementia care home on Blythe Valley Park in Shirley, Solihull, run by MACC Care. It opened in 2022 and has 80 registered beds. The home is divided into separate areas, each with no more than 15 residents, so that care can be matched to different levels of dementia and the challenges that come with them. Residents can join in everyday life as much or as little as they wish, with conversation, reminiscing and a range of activities taking place around them. Families are welcome to take part. The building was designed to support independent living, including everyday household tasks, and it won an interior design award at the 2023 Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.
The home is rated Good by the Care Quality Commission overall, with Good ratings for safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care. The report was published in 2026.
