It has operated since 2004 and draws on more than twenty years of experience, with the aim of helping the people it supports live on their own terms. Its care focus is dementia, and it also supports older people aged 65 and over, younger adults under 65, people with physical disabilities and people with sensory impairment.

The Care Quality Commission rates the agency Good overall, in a report published in 2023. Each of its five key questions (safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led) was also rated Good.

What inspectors found

CQC: Good

Report published 13 July 2023 · Last inspected 9 June 2023

Inspectors found that this domiciliary care agency in Sutton, which supports older people, people with disabilities and people living with dementia, provided safe care. Staff were described as knowing people's needs and preferences very well, and the culture was caring, open and person-centred. Feedback from people and their families was complimentary.

Strengths noted
  • People had care plans and risk assessments, and staff knew each person's needs and preferences very well.
  • Staff had safeguarding training and knew how to recognise and report abuse, and there were enough staff to meet people's needs.
  • People were supported to be as independent as possible, and people, relatives and staff were involved in care and in developing the service.
  • Staff worked well with healthcare services and community organisations, and managers took part in professional networks to share learning.
Areas to improve
  • Some people's COVID-19 risk assessments lacked sufficiently detailed, personalised information at the time of inspection. The provider has since introduced a new process to address this.
  • Some care records for as-required medicines lacked enough detail at the time of inspection. The provider updated these records and introduced a new process afterwards.
  • At the time of inspection, some of the provider's audits were not effective, so they had not identified issues that inspectors found. New processes were introduced during the inspection.
