About
Foxwood Lodge Residential Care Home is a 12-bed residential home in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, run by Care Worldwide. It provides residential care for working-age adults with mental health needs, including people at risk of hospital admission during a mental health crisis and people moving on from long hospital or inpatient stays. The home is a converted former guest house on the outskirts of Wakefield, set in a small village called Carlton, close to Rothwell, Leeds and Wakefield town centres. Bedrooms are large and include en suite facilities, some with doors directly onto the garden. The grounds include around two acres of enclosed land, a sensory pod, a gym area and a music corner.
Foxwood Lodge is part of a therapeutic model that encourages residents to take responsibility for their own recovery, and the home offers a 12 to 18 month programme aimed at helping people move on to their own home. The home is regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and its latest ratings are available on its CQC profile.
