About

Forest Care Home is a 35-bed care home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, run by Welltower. Opened in 1996 and purpose-built to provide nursing care for older people, it offers round-the-clock qualified nursing and dementia care. Its Memory Lane Community, a dementia nursing unit, supports people living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia.

The home also has the Portland Suite, a specialist unit that opened in 2012 and supports younger adults with mental health needs. Its 21 en-suite rooms are intended to support a therapeutic environment. Staff aim to learn each resident's life story, routines and interests, and to shape care around their personal needs and wishes. The home runs a varied activities programme, and its catering team prepares meals using fresh, seasonal produce.
