About the service (written while it was open)

Derby is a home care agency based in Derby, Derbyshire, providing care and support in people's own homes. Its specialist focus is dementia, and it also supports older people aged 65 and over, younger adults under 65, and people with physical disabilities. Trained carers help with everyday tasks such as bathing, grooming and moving around, with attention to personal hygiene and comfort.

The agency offers companionship, with carers taking part in conversation, games and activities that support mental and emotional wellbeing and help reduce loneliness. Carers can also provide reminders and help with medicines taken as prescribed, and prepare meals suited to each person's dietary needs and preferences.

Phone, email and website are removed: the service no longer answers them.

If your relative used Derby

  1. Contact Derby council's adult social care team. The council can help arrange care from another provider, and must step in to keep care going when a provider fails, including for people who pay for their own care (Care Act 2014).
  2. If they pay for themselves, a care adviser can shortlist home care agencies with space nearby, free.
  3. Before choosing, read the new agency's latest CQC report.

We keep this page for a year after closing so families can find out what happened; after that it takes you to home care agencies in Derby.
