About
Abbotsford Tayside View is a 40-bed home in Newburgh, Fife, providing residential, nursing and respite care. Many of its bedrooms and all of its dining rooms overlook the River Tay. Bedrooms are larger than usual and each has an en-suite wet-floor shower and toilet, and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms. Two larger suites have a large flat-screen TV and DVD combination. The Raasay Unit, registered for adults under 65, has a small fenced garden with room for a vegetable plot.
Many residents have long ties to the town, and visitors from Newburgh are welcome. The home hopes to renew links with the local Institute and involve schoolchildren in its garden. The Care Inspectorate graded the home Good for how well people's wellbeing is supported, how care and support is planned, its setting, its staff team and its leadership.
